Get Bitten

It was reported earlier this Spring that Mrs. Fashionista herself, Sarah Jessica Parker, would be launching her very own fashion line. The line, Bitten, will premiere June 7 and will be available exclusively at Steve & Barry's. The interesting part is that everything is less than $20! She admits that her pieces might not be as trendy as some other celebrity lines out there, but focuses on quality and affordability.

From what I've seen, everything looks really cute on her (But doesn't everything look cute on her?), but I don't know how I feel about it yet. I guess I'll have to check it out for myself. There's a photo spread and interview in the June issue of Glamour and it seems like the outfits are kinda basic and can really be made special with the right accessories.
Check out the official Bitten website to take a look at the line and to find a Steve & Barry's near you.

What do you think about the line?

Trend -> The Jersey Dress

In my first post I mentioned that I want to use my blog to talk the latest trends. Well, this is my first official Trend post. I am loving the jersey dress trend! They're so comfy and unrestricting. No need to suck in your tummy (I'm not the only one, am I?) They come in a variety of styles and lengths and are flattering to most body types. They can easily be dressed up or down which makes them suitable for most occasions.

First, let's look at some celebs and their jersey dress style.

Here we have the lovely Eva Mendes in a yellow jersey dress at a charity event. She's dressed her frock up with a pair of brown open toes and matching shoulder bag.

Liv Tyler is out and about pushing her stroller looking all comfy in her jersey dress with tights underneath.

And here's Carmen Electra in her jersey dress, dressed down with flip flops.

Get your own jersey dress...

A jersey dress would be a good addition to your wardrobe for the summer.

I Need A Vacation!

It's that time of year when people leave their hectic lives behind and go chill somewhere with some water. That's right...it's vacation time...and I'll be taking one myself soon...Yay!

In preparation for my trip, I need to find a couple of new suits. And I need them to be inexpensive, but still cute. For the past few summers, Old Navy has become my place for swimsuits. They have an assortment of suits in various styles and colors you can mix and match. Here are my picks...

Details: Yellow Halter Swim Top and Bottoms, $16.50 each piece; Polka-Dot Bikini, $16.50 each piece at Old Navy.

Of course, you'll also need something to wear over your suit. Check out these cute coverups...
Details: Terry Romper and Hooded Cover-Up, both $19.50 at Old Navy.

While in Target the other day I noticed that they also had some cute, inexpensive suits. My picks...

Mossimo Black Butterfly Print Tankini Top, $19.99; Bottom, $17.99; Xhilaration Stripe Halter Swim Top and Bottom, each $14.99, all at Target.

Target Coverups...

Merona Swim Coverup Tunic, $17.99; Xhilaration Smocked Terry Dress Coverup, $16.99, all at Target.

We all know every ensemble needs accessories. Here's a few beach/pool side accessories...

Details (left to right, top to bottom): Straw Hat, $12.99 at Target; Velour Beach Towel, $12.50 at Old Navy; Seagrass Tote, $12.99 at Target; Oversized Straw Tote, $14.50 at Old Navy.

Clearly, this post was brought to you by Old Navy and Target. They should cut me a check! Both have a good variety and the price is right. Everything in the post was under $20.00...can't beat that with a bat!

Stayed tuned for more vacation style. I've got some more shopping to do for my trip.
